We're Georgina and Matt, the team behind Frankie Apothecary's range of natural, low-waste skincare products made with New Zealand native Kawakawa.

Our Story

Frankie's Kawakawa Repair Balm was developed for a little girl whose severe eczema meant she often woke with her skin raw from scratching through the night. Her desperate Mum formulated our rich Kawakawa Repair Balm and it soothed her skin naturally within a week.

Since then, Kawakawa Repair has helped transform the skin health of thousands of Kiwi families, many of whom had relied on chemical laden over-the-counter and prescribed topicals.

My journey with natural skincare began after a fertility specialist told me the chemicals in my sunscreen could be disrupting the delicate balance of hormones in my body. I was shocked.

As Frankie has grown, our intention has remained the same - to honour the traditional harvesting techniques for our Kawakawa and to share the efficacy of Aotearoa New Zealand's plant-life with the world.
