When beautiful Millah-Ivy was born, her skin was flawless and for the first few weeks was really good, but when she needed to have formula feeds between breastmilk feeds, things began to change.
When the baby was six weeks old, her upset mum face-timed Millah-Ivy's Nanna, Rachel, to show her the painful rash on her baby's face, and Rachel immediately said;
"Don't use anything but Georgina's Kawakawa Balm!"
Over next few days the rash started to spread down the baby's neck and tummy and patches appeared on her legs.
Nanna quickly put in an order for a big pot of Kawakawa Balm and sent that and the Soothing Oat Bath Soak down to Tauranga for them.
After just one day of bathing Millah-Ivy with the Oat Bath Soak and using the Kawakawa Balm her skin was not as red and inflamed looking. After a few days the rash was reducing right down, and in just six days her skin was back to normal. Find out why Kawakawa can act to calm and repair skin.
“This Kawakawa Balm is just brilliant. After 6 days of using it Millah-Ivy’s rash completely disappeared. She was 6 weeks old, so it’s totally safe to use on newborns.”

How Millah-Ivy's family uses Kawakawa Balm to calm and protect her skin
Mum applies a small amount to each area of rash or broken skin, and just gently rub/pats it on. She says "The Kawakawa Balm goes on very easily, and you only need a small amount as it spreads out so smoothly."
Millah Ivy is bathed once a week with the Soothing Oat Bath Soak just to keep her skin good and healthy.
Millah-Ivy's mum keeps a small pot of Kawakawa Balm in her nappy bag, and the bigger pot stays by change table. The Kawakawa Balm is great on baby's bottoms as well, and can be used as a balm to prevent nappy rash.
"We actually use this Kawakawa Balm all the time!"
In the past Rachel had used other products for various whanau skin issues but nothing seemed to work - until she discovered Frankie Apothecary and decided this was the best Kawakawa Balm in New Zealand!
She told us that she had used Frankie's Kawakawa Balm for the last few years, for things like her daughter's tattoo - "This Kawakawa Balm was the best for relieving the itch and burn; the tattoo did not scar, scab or anything" - and her son's bad eczema, and skin reactions from strapping tape adhesive on his leg and ankle.
"After seeing the great results from using this Kawakawa Balm over the years it was a no-brainer to use it to help Millah-Ivy. I keep Frankie's Kawakawa Balm in our first aid kit, and we use it on cuts, rashes, scratches and insect bites. I use the Kawakawa Cleansing Bar as well, especially when my skin feels itchy from being out in farm paddocks."
Thank you so much for sharing your story Rachel - we are so delighted to see the improvement in Millah-Ivy's beautiful skin!
